We are making dinosaur eggs. We dipped paper in glue and stuck it to the balloons. We had to cover the whole balloon in paper. Then we left them to dry. We had lots of fun and made lots of mess!
Clay Dinosaurs
We made dinosaurs out of clay. It was good fun. Once they were dry we painted them.
Gingerbread
We made gingerbread. We used brown sugar, margarine, golden syrup, ginger and flour. We mixed all the ingredients together and then rolled out the dough and cut shapes out. We had all sorts of different shaped cutters. We then iced them. We really enjoyed making gingerbread and can’t wait to taste them!
Story Writing
This week we have been working hard on the traditional tale of Little Red Riding Hood. Today we wrote our own versions of the story. Miss Dore was very impressed with everyone’s writing.
Kenyan Cooking
We made ugali today with Mrs Jesse and Edward. We thought it was very yummy! We had some chicken with it too.
Superfood
This morning we tried healthy foods. We used our senses. We tried green tea, seaweed, blueberries, cranberries, sweet potato and avocado. The cranberries and the blueberries were our favorite.
Carnival
Yesterday we had our carnival. We learnt how to samba dance . It was quite hard especially when the music got faster. We played our musical instruments and we paraded around the school.
The Great Fire of London
We have been looking at the great fire of London. We built houses using cardboard boxes and set them up to look like a street in London. We were surprised at how quickly the fire spread. The wind also helped by blowing the fire to the next house. We said that the people of London would be very sad to watch their houses burn.

Today we measured the playground using meter sticks.

It was our turn to feed the new lambs today. We thought they drank their milk very quickly!
Great Fire of London
We have been building London out of cardboard boxes.
Special Visitor
We had a tea party with a special visitor. We had cucumber sandwiches and cake. We learnt some songs and some games.
Buckingham Palace
We had a virtual tour around Buckingham Palace. We were amazed at how big it is and how much gold there is.
Story Preparation
We are getting ready to write some fantasy stories. This week we have created our settings and our characters.
Water Fun
In Maths we have been measuring water using litres and millilitres.
Dividing
We have been dividing with fish, multilink and playdough.
Forest School Diary

Visitors and Science
Today we used materials in science to find a comfy bed for the princess. The fluffy blanket was the best because we couldn’t feel the pea!
We had a chicken in our classroom all day. We were looking after it.
